Instead of Quince, Try These 5 Sustainable Brands

“Wherever possible”, “as little packaging as possible”, “all our products are made to last” — at first glance, Quince seems like a sustainable brand. But once you start digging deeper, there isn’t much information to support these claims.
The brand does not offer repair services or a warranty, does not have a take-back program, still uses high-impact materials such as spandex, virgin wool, and virgin cashmere, and does not track or offset its emissions.
When it comes to its suppliers, all you can see are dots on a world map, which doesn’t say much about its factories or the brand’s supplier code of conduct.
Here are some alternative sustainable fashion brands with similar styles:

Toad&Co
For everyday men's and women's apparel, check out Toad&Co. The brand primarily uses low-emission materials, including recycled and organic cotton, hemp, recycled polyester, and Tencel Lyocell. These materials are backed by certifications like OEKO-TEX, GRS, RWS, and Bluesign. It ships products completely plastic-free, using alternatives like reusable LimeLoop mailers and FSC-certified paper mailers. Its ToadAgain program takes back and resells pre-loved items. Also, Toad&Co donates 1% of its sales to nonprofits. Unlike other companies, it allows its customers to choose which organization receives their contribution at checkout.
Kowtow
Kowtow is a B Corp and Fair Trade-certified brand that has completely eliminated high-impact synthetic fibers from its clothes. Instead, it uses 100% certified Fairtrade cotton that's traced from seed to garment, along with other low-impact materials like GOTS-certified and OEKO-TEX-certified fibers. Kowtow apparel comes in 100% plastic-free packaging, FSC-certified materials, and recycled cardboard. It also offers a repair program with detailed care instructions and a take-back program for recycling its clothes. You can even find its supply chain partners' details on the website.
Poshmark
Poshmark is a dynamic secondhand marketplace that lets you buy and sell pre-owned fashion. The platform helps tackle fast fashion waste by keeping clothes out of landfills. It's built around a social shopping experience where you can follow sellers, discover items across thousands of brands, and make offers or bid in live auctions starting at just $3. For high-value purchases (over $500), Poshmark offers free authentication and shipping. It's a fantastic platform for discovering unique styles and hard-to-find pieces in both a sustainable and budget-friendly way.
Reformation
Reformation also makes most of its garments using low-impact fibers like recycled cotton, regenerative cotton, and deadstock materials. It backs its products with GOTS, GRS, RWS, and OEKO-TEX certifications. The brand runs on 100% renewable energy in its stores and offices, has a repair program with Hemster, and operates a takeback program for recycling and resale. It also tracks its environmental impact with SBTi-approved emissions targets and offsets its full value chain emissions.
Everlane
If you're looking for a wider collection to choose from, check out Everlane. You will find everything from swimwear to outerwear made using lower-impact materials like certified organic cotton, recycled fibers, and FSC-certified fiber. The clothes come packaged in sustainable packaging options such as FSC-certified and 100% recycled paper materials. The brand is even pushing for ground shipping to cut its emissions further. On its website, you will find details about its Tier 1 and 2 suppliers, along with a supplier code of conduct that ensures fair labor practices.
